Dan Johnson, Lead Pastor
Dan is a leader within the emerging church movement and an authentic speaker/teacher who enjoys communicating the essential message of Jesus, “Come, follow me…”, to this eclectic and postmodern context. As a missional leader, he continuously seeks to share the story of Jesus in a relevant way through establishing spiritual friendships with a variety of people.
Dan has a passion to equip, empower, and encourage spiritual seekers on their journey and help people fulfill their potential through Christ. His focus as a spiritual leader is to call the church back to its roots as a revolutionary force in the world as culturally engaged Christ followers. His “make it happen” leadership style continuously ignites action and prompts participation.
Dan is a ravenous reader, pondering philosopher, crazy coffee connoisseur who, guaranteed, always has an open book on his desk, and beverage (of the dark sort) in hand. He will engage you in conversation about anything and everything, from early American literature to metaphysics to Postmodern Theology.
Dan is also the Lead Assessor for the Church Planting Department at the Northwest Ministry Network, a fellowship of over 350 churches in Washington and Nothern Idaho, helping to raise up new leaders within the emerging church.
Though his interests are broad, his main focus is to love God and people more passionately today than he did yesterday...
Dan has a BA in Philosophy, with a Specialization in Religious Studies, from Central Washington University and an MA from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
Dan is a popular speaker for retreats, conferences, and college campuses. Dan's most recent talks are online. If you would like Dan to speak at an event, you can contact his assistant, Danielle, at 208.882.8186 or connectclc@moscow.com.
